Kirstie Bedford is an award-winning travel writer, journalist, editor and podcaster with more than two decades of experience in the media.

Her areas of expertise are luxury travel, wellness and soft adventure, and she is passionate about meeting the people behind a place.

Kirstie is a senior writer at Karryon Luxury, Australia's leading travel trade brand. She is also the host of travel podcast, The World Awaits, and a freelance writer, writing primarily for print and digital publications in Australia and New Zealand.

Kirstie started her career as a news journalist and has worked in broadcast, print and digital media. She has edited six magazines, including as founding editor of Luxury Escapes magazine, and has spent more than eight years in communication management positions.

When she's not writing for work, Kirstie is working on her crime fiction manuscript, which saw her win a scholarship to the Faber Writing Academy with Allen & Unwin.
