Nick pioneered the technology that created global newswire service TravMedia in 1999 – along with the ATE, IPW, Brand USA and SATW press rooms and trade platforms. Nick understands the needs of media from his own experience as travel editor of Courier Newspapers for 10 years. Nick splits his time between his Sydney, London and New York offices, and by design never spends an entire cold winter or a hot summer anywhere.

Dominika joined TravMedia in 2009. Born in Sweden with Polish roots, she speaks Swedish, Polish, English and gets by in several other languages. In 2025, her tech background led to a Managing Director role for Muller & Associates, where she developed a recruitment program platform and launched the London and Hong Kong offices. She has a strong love for the snow and the water, and feels right at home on a plane.

Julie is a strategic Senior Marketer with more than 20 years of experience working with some of the world’s most high-profile brands and greatest theatrical events including Qantas, Disney, Expedia, Cameron Mackintosh and Harry Potter. She joined TravMedia in 2019 as Chief Marketing Officer and is Acting Regional Director for Asia and China.

After 17 years and three continents with TravMedia, Lauren returned to Australia in the role of Chief Communications Officer. Lauren was based in TravMedia’s NYC office from 2013 to 2022, responsible for communications and international relations. In 2008, she relocated to Hong Kong to establish TravMedia’s Asia, after acting as Regional Account Manager in the Australia office in 2007.

Kim manages all media-related aspects of IMM North America and grows the media side of TravMedia globally. Kim has probably worked directly with more travel writers than anyone else on the planet. Over three decades, Kim has worn many hats: travel website Founder, Chief Content Officer for the world’s largest mobile platform for travel writers, Travel Acquisitions Editor, author of almost 50 guidebooks and Getty Images photographer.

Henry is an entrepreneur with 40 years’ experience of travel media and communications. He worked in travel PR, became a travel writer, then founded Rooster, a multi-sector agency. He launched TravMedia UK in 2003 with TravMedia CEO Nick Wayland. In 2013, TravMedia UK launched IMM, now spanning seven global regions. He also created brands Property4Media and Homes4Media. Henry sold his interests in 2024 and now acts as a global adviser.

Axel’s marketing, public relations and journalism experiences encompass a range of tourism businesses, destination marketing and non-profit organizations. Prior to founding a tourism marketing and PR firm that he successfully managed for more than 18 years, Axel spent several years managing media programs, comms, marketing and public relations, B2B and promotions for corporations and organizations. He also worked for ITB Berlin.

Karine has worked for more than 20 years in public relations, representing some of the largest brands in the industry. In 2002 she founded Hereban, recognized as a major player in communication within the aviation, travel, luxury, and lifestyle sectors.

Andy has been in the travel industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience with airlines, destinations, hotels, and agencies representing clients across the globe. He is responsible for the commercial success of TravMedia in the UK, including IMM and the TravMedia Awards. His passions in life are travel, history, and sport, and he is especially proud to be a museum and stadium guide at Chelsea FC. Extensively travelled with his family, his favourite destinations are California, the South of France, and the islands of Greece.

Angela is a strategic communications and international relations leader with more than 15 years of global experience across government, tourism, hospitality and aviation. Her career includes senior roles with Minor Hotels - driving global PR for HBO’s White Lotus Season 3 in Phuket, Visit Qatar, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Fiji Airways. She has been recognised by MERPA Awards, Tatler Best Awards and the Canadian Tourism Commission’s PR Excellence Award.

Sebastian joined TravMedia North America in 2019 as an account and content manager, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s presence in the North and South American markets. Sebastian’s passion for travel provides him with a unique understanding of diverse markets and cultures. He divides his time between the U.S. and Argentina, where he works closely with the TravMedia Buenos Aires team.

Many moons ago, Tom was a journalist in Paris, freelancing for NBC Universal and local travel magazines. His passion for travel led him to New Zealand, where he started working as a sales lead for Wicked Campers. After visiting Sydney, he fell in love with the Harbour City and began working for TravelZoo before moving on to Kayak and then Expedia until the Covid-19 era. In 2025, Tom made a comeback to the travel industry and joined TravMedia.

Camila joined TravMedia in 2019, initially contributing to the Media Intelligence Project. In 2023, she began developing TravMedia’s Latin America footprint, where she drives growth and innovation and fosters multicultural connections. She lived in Brazil for a decade, has been based in Argentina since 2006 and understands the region’s diverse cultures and markets.

Louise joined TravMedia UK as Business Development Director and assumed responsibility for all UK sales including renewals, new business and IMM. Louise began in 1993 as a travel agent at Lunn Poly, took key roles at RCI and White Concierge, and started a travel agency from scratch. In 2010 she joined TTG, looked after the B2B TTG Luxury and became Sales Director for the entire TTG portfolio.

With over 25 years’ experience in branding, print and digital design, copywriting and creative marketing, Nick began his career in publishing before moving agency side, where he led creative work for a range of travel and lifestyle clients. He has been instrumental in shaping TravMedia’s brand since its UK launch in the early 2000s, helping to define the visual identity, event experience, and marketing strategy across the company’s platforms. He spends his spare time trying in vain to finish The Penguin History of the World, which he has been reading since 1997.

Adaptable and professional, Joanna has worked on public relations missions in several European countries and elsewhere in the world, where she developed her written and broadcast communication skills.

Gaynor has 25 years’ experience in PR/communications in tourism. She’s worked for Accor, Langham, Ovolo, Tourism Western Australia and many more. Voted 2020 Global Communicator of the Year, she has deep networks in the industry. Based between Singapore and Sydney, Gaynor understands the APAC media landscape well. A previous long-term client of TravMedia, she loved it so much she joined the team!

Wendy is a Senior Account Director at GHC Asia and looks after the media program for IMM Asia. With deep expertise in luxury travel, hospitality, and lifestyle communications, she has led high-impact campaigns for some of the world’s leading hotel groups and destinations, combining strategic insight with strong regional media and influencer networks. Known for her thoughtful storytelling and collaborative approach, Wendy plays a key role in TravMedia Asia and China’s media recruitment.

Marlise strengthens TravMedia’s leading role in its expansion in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, focusing on IMM. Leveraging a background in sales, project management and marketing, she builds long-term partnerships with diverse stakeholders in the travel industry. Her experience allows for creative solutions and strategic network growth, solidifying TravMedia as a vital industry-media interface in the DACH region.

Ralf, a graduate in Tourism Management, brings extensive experience in travel agencies, tour operations, MICE, and destination management. He spent more than 10 years in various roles at TUI Germany. From day one, he has played a key role in shaping and developing the events of IMM Germany as a central co-organizer. In addition, he has a strong network within the German-speaking travel media landscape.

Having worked with the business for 12 years across a variety of roles, Ash currently handles marketing for the website and the flagship events, IMM and TravMedia Awards. Ash also leads sales and marketing across TravMedia sister sites, Property4Media, Homes4Media and Food4Media UK. In his spare time, you can find Ash on his rowing machine or delving into a great movie.

Mark is a travel writer and content creator whose work has appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald, Conde Nast Traveller and Centurion. He is managing editor for Big Top Media, which provides editorial content for companies such as Qantas, Tourism Australia, the South Australia Tourism Commission, and Fairfax Media. Mark has been a travel correspondent for the London Telegraph group for 24 years. He is married with two boys.

Lucy is a media relations executive with a Masters in Journalism from the University of Galway. She thrives on working with the media, creating compelling stories, and sharing engaging content. Passionate about communications, Lucy brings energy and a keen eye for detail to her work. Outside of her career, she loves travelling and staying up to date with the latest films at the cinema.

Serena is a Parsons School of Design graduate in Strategic Design and Management. She is passionate about creating meaningful brand experiences in travel and lifestyle. Based in New York, she brings a creative yet strategic approach to storytelling, PR, and travel marketing.

Laila joined TravMedia in 2019 working in the clippings department. As Content Manager, she leverages her expertise in translation and English language studies. She liaises with media professionals to address website inquiries, supports daily operations and organizational tasks, helps translate TravMedia’s platform, and curates daily summaries. Laila is fluent in Spanish and English and also speaks Italian.

Natalia joined TravMedia in early 2024, where she supports a variety of projects, collaborates with companies to develop their profiles on the platform, and contributes to the clippings service. Natalia is fluent in Spanish and English.

Zoe joined the team in 2025. She oversees media clippings, supports daily operations and organisational tasks, contributes to translation projects, and identifies leads. Dedicated to continuous learning, Zoe is passionate about languages and enjoys reading in her free time.

Damian, a graphic and motion designer, is passionate about communicating through image and motion, and transforming ideas into impactful visual pieces.

Mark works with travel brands to establish their rallying cries, improve their storytelling, and explore technologies and channels to best share company stories. He believes organisations underutilise a strong story coupled with intentional content distribution. Mark is deeply immersed in Greater Boston’s tourism industry, serving as chair of the board for the iconic Freedom Trail.

Hai brings more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in software development and system administration. He has played a key role in internet hosting and the development of high-traffic websites. Hai possesses excellent communication skills that enable him to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization. Since 2014, he has been contributing his expertise as a full stack developer at TravMedia.

Nasri is a seasoned full-stack developer with nearly a decade of experience at TravMedia. With expertise in both front-end and back-end development, Nasri has played a key role in building and optimizing digital platforms that enhance media and travel industry connections. Passionate about clean code, innovative solutions and seamless user experiences, Nasri continues to drive technological advancements in the field.

Kevin arrived at TravMedia in late 2023 with more than seven years of experience in programming at travel agencies. He enjoys connecting with people from around the globe, which allows him to learn from and bring different perspectives to each project. He eagerly takes on new challenges to drive TravMedia’s success.

Lautaro has been a member of TravMedia since 2022. He began his journey as part of the media clippings team and assists with graphic design for social media and IMM events.

Born and raised in Southern California, Jennifer has a passion for numbers and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University with honours. After a distinguished career at KPMG, Jennifer transitioned to high - ranking accounting and finance roles in several diverse companies and opened her boutique accounting firm in 2000.

Gowri joined TravMedia UK in January 2019. She has a wealth of experience in accounting, having worked for companies of all sizes and sectors. Over the past 20 years, her experience has been with media and media-related companies. She enjoys making the mundane exciting and has often been referred to as being an Accountant with a personality.

Haroon is an accounting professional with over five years of experience in the industry. He’s passionate about making sense of numbers and helping businesses run more efficiently. Haroon’s known for being easy to talk to and great at breaking down financial info in a way that makes sense. He enjoys teaming up with colleagues and clients to get the best results and takes real pride in adding value wherever he can.

Annalisa has been managing books for the better part of 20 years. Her wealth of experience comes from working in many different industries, from real estate to manufacturing, hospitality to travel media. Annalisa is dedicated to ensuring everything lines up perfectly at the end of the day. With experience in both Italy and Australia, she has learned to deal with whatever situation may arise. She is quick to look for solutions, even in the most unlikely of places, and will exhaustively try anything for the best outcome.
